About This Simulation
Designed for NGSS HS-PS2-4: Use mathematical representations of Newton's Law of Gravitation and Coulomb's Law to describe and predict the gravitational and electrostatic forces between objects.
- Patterns: Observe how force changes inversely with the square of distance. Record data points to graph and visualize this nonlinear relationship.
- Using Mathematics: View the live calculations derived from the mathematical models of basic assumptions.
- Types of Interactions: Compare the differences (attraction vs repulsion) and similarities (inverse-square laws) of gravitational and electrostatic fields.
